Welcome to the new year and our first as Mt. Nebo Junior High.  I look forward to meeting each of my students and I am excited to jouney with each you as we study the field of science called Earth Systems.  The class theme for this year will be:  "Is there life beyond Earth and if so where do we look?"  This of course is a critical question being asked of many of the scientists of our world today.  It is my goal to help you as students to obtain the information and skills needed to participate with real scientists in our world in answering this all important question.  Since life has only been found upon our planet Earth it is here where we will spend part of our time discovering why that is so.  What characteristics does our planet have that gives it the ability to support life?   It should be an exciting year as we learn and work together to answer these all important questions.
