| Announcements Announcements: Welcome back! I hope that the holidays were wonderful for each of one of you. I am very excited to start the second half of the year. We have some exciting things to come in the second half like another Chefs of Good Writing, Parent Breakfast and a student teacher! | Curriculum Reading: During the month of January we are working on the comprehension strategy Creating Images. Students think about what they see, hear, touch, feel, smell, and taste as they are reading the story. Writing: This month we are working on writing a "How To" paragraph. Students will be expected to have a topic sentence, supporting sentences and a closing sentence.
Math: This month we are learning about fractions. Students will learn how to write, name, and compare fractions. Science: We are learning about force and motion. Students will learn the two types of force are push and pull and experiment with the ideas of "an object at rest will remain at rest unless acted upon" and "an object in motion will remain in motion unless acted upon. | Important Documents
