2009 Utah Shakesperean Festival High School Competition

DEPART: 8 am on Thursday October 8th
RETURN: 11:59 pm on Saturday October 10th
COST: $100 Due by Thursday, September 24th, 2009
Dear Parents,
It is again that time of year as we prepare for the educational opportunity for you students to attend the Utah Shakespearean Festival High School Competition. Your student will have the opportunity to compete against students from over 65 schools and 7 states. They will also have the opportunity to perform in front of judges that work in professional theaters all over the country. And most beneficial is to be taught by these professionals in workshops and have the opportunity to receive college scholarships for their work.
With travel, lodging, play tickets and registration fees, the trip itself comes to close to $250 a student. In an attempt to keep the cost down for the students so that they can take advantage of this wonderful opportunity, we have arranged for the following:
- Each student will pay $100 which is due by Thursday, September 24th
- Each student will participate in the team fundraiser to help cover the remaining $150. Participation in the team fundraiser constitutes at payment for the remaining money that is needed
If a student does not participate in the team fundraiser they must pay $200 outright and this too is due on the aforementioned deadline.
If either of the team fundraiser or the $100 are not met by the deadline than the student will be removed from the team roster and they will not be allowed on the trip.
