| Announcements We are now studying the objects in our solar system... especially our sun. This includes how they were formed. This is covered in Chapters 15 and 16 of the text book and also covered in the presentations that each student is doing. Since we just recently finished taking our last test, it's too soon to say for sure when our next test will be. Expect it some time in early December. I'll post the exact date here when the time gets closer. If you weren't able to attend any of the AMES star parties that we held during August and September then I encourage you to attend one of the University of Utah's star parties. They have a roof-top observatory up on top of the South Physics building which they open to the public each Wednesday night if weather permits. Information about these star parties and a map to the place can be found by using this link... http://web.utah.edu/astro/. Assignments Recent assignments (since the new term started) are: Due Tues, Nov. 24 - Submit a one-half page report summarizing what you saw and learned when you spent at least 45 minutes exploring the web links that I have listed on the right side of this web page. (You can spend all your time exploring one link, or you can explore several links... whatever your prefer.)
