Writing assignments from now until the end of the trimester will not be project based.  Instead, students will complete shorter, one-day assignments.

We handed in the Halloween newspaper on October 30.  Students should bring a final, typed copy of every section that day.  We'll complete the rough drafts in class on the following days:

2.  Oct. 21:  Front page story  (See "My Documents"/"Writing Projects" to download the typing template, which includes instructions.)

3.  Oct. 22:  Black/Orange poem  (See "My Documents"/"Writing Projects" to download the rough draft worksheet.  To reread the example "What is Orange?" poem from class, see "My Bookmarks"/Poetry in English/List Poems."  You can also see more about poetry and find a rhyming dictionary in that same folder.)

4.  Oct. 28:  Description of familiar object

5.  Oct. 29:  Fun pages

6.  Oct. 30:  Put everything together in typed form

Front Page:  Title of newspaper, volume and edition #, date; front page story (in columns), picture and caption

3.  Double check the homework, starter, and notes from 1-2 more classmates to make sure they're accurate.
