Self-Start #3: Use scratch paper and your multiplication skills to crack the code and find the sasparilla.
Self-Start #4: Look at the example of the number 9 and notice the pattern and how it moves through the place values. Make the same chart using a different number (single digit). Start in the millions place and go to the thousandths place. Put your assignment in the box when you are finished.
Self-Start #5: Choose 3 problems to read through thoroughly. Read the problems and write down your answers on a piece of paper. Go through and check your answers by using the step-by-step guide. Turn in your paper.

Self-Start 2: Click on “An Odd Animal” and fill in the blanks. Use the “Parts of Speech” button at the bottom of the page if you need help remembering parts of speech. After all of the spaces are filled in, click on the “See Your Wacky Web Tale” button at the bottom of the page read your story.
Self-Start 3: Play this game by correcting Dan’s editing mistakes for capitalization and punctuation.
Self-Start 4:
Click on “Proofreading Makes Perfect,” type in your name, and click on “Capitalization and Punctuation.” Re-type the sentences correctly.
Self-Start 5:
Click on “Nouns” and then “Play the Game”. When the registration page comes up, click on “Maybe Later”. Then click on the “Intro” button and listen to the instructions. Afterwards, click on “Start at the Beginning.”
