Remember to read the reading mastery worksheets each night with your child!

Those of you who have children with summer birthdays - look under the documents tab for a schedule to let you know when we will celebrate their arrival in the world.  If I have missed anyone's birthday - please let me know!

Next week is spirit week:

Monday: Crazy Hair Day

Tuesday: Crazy Sock Day

Wednesday: Hero Hat Day

Thursday: Wear pink

Friday: Free Dress Day (& Picture Day)

Starting on Wednesday, March 24, the students will have the option to have a free dress day (it will be an option every Wednesday).  However, it will cost each student $1.00 for each free dress Wednesday.  All proceeds go directly to the Student Activities Committee for improvements/needs for our school.

We will no longer be providing a snack during recess time.  If you would like to send an individual snack with your child each day, he/she is more than welcome to eat it during recess time.

I have had the opportunity to be in meetings with Mr. Lockhart as a staff member and as a team leader.  I am so excited about the upcoming year!  Our enrollment cap has been raised and therefore we need more students (although kindergarten is full and has a waiting list).  But spread the word, get your neighbors, friends, and family to join our wonderful learning community!  If we reach that number, we will have the ability to place an instructor with each teacher for the full day!  So get recruiting!!

Votes were tallied and a date set for our publishing party.  It will be Friday April 23rd during school hours.  For the A.M. class it will be from 10:30 to 11:00 and in the afternoon class from 2:30 to 3:00.  It will be an open house.
