9/1 - 9/2  "Who Are You?'.  Your english teachers will make this assignment.

9/3 - 9/4    Passed out Unit 1 packet.  Pages 1 thru 4 were assigned.  They need to be done for next time.

9/8 - 9/9   Did lab on pages 18 and 19 in packet.  Pages 5,6,7,13,14, and 15 were assigned as homework.

9/10 - 9/11   Worked on notes section 2-2 and 2-2.  Pages 9 and 10 were assigned as homework.  Both should be done for next time.

 

9/14 - 9/15   Activity with obsertainers. Homework is the rest of the notes for chapter 2 (2-3 & 2-4).  Test has been rescheduled for September 22nd and 23rd.

9/16 - 9/17    Went over notes for chapter 1.  We also went over notes for chapter 2 up thru Ionic bonds.  Page 31 was assigned as homework.

9/22 - 9/23   Collected unit 1 packet and took test.  Passed out Ecology packet and assigned to work on chapter 3.  See Chapter 3 Biology Ecology READ.pdf

9/24 - 9/25   Corrected test and packet.  Assigned all of the notes for chapter 3.

9/28 - 9/29   Assigned sections 4-2, 5-1, 5-2, & 5-3 as homework.  

9/30 - 10/1   Finished going over chapter 3 powerpoint.  Please review it (see link above).  Worked on owl pellet dissection and assigned page 10 as homework.

10/2 - 10/6   Finished the notes for section 4-2.  Worked on owl pellet lab and assigned sections 6-3 and 6-4 in packet as homework.  See section 4-2 powerpoint Chapter 4-2 Biology Ecology READ.pdf 

10/7 - 10/8  Went over chapter 5 power point see Chapter 5 Biology Ecology READ.pdf   Pages 10 and 11 were assigned in packet.

10/9 - 10/12  Assigned pages 13, 14, 15, &16 in packet.  Went over notes 6-3 and 6-4 see Chapter 6 Biology Ecology.READ.pdf Study only sections 6-3 and 6-4.

10/13 - 10/14  Collected packet and took unit test.

10/19 - 10/20    Correct packet and test.  Also collected priviledge passes.

10/21 - 10/22   Read chapter 7 pass out new packet and assigned notes for chapter 7.  Next test and packet due 11/10 - 11/11.  Extra credit passes will not be put in until Monday or Tuesday.

10/23 - 10/26   Went over sections 7-1 and 7-2.  See power point  Chapter 7 power point READ.ppt.  Assigned page 7 in packet.

10/27 - 10/28   Go over notes 7-3 assigned notes section 8-1.  Study power point above.

10/29 - 10/30   Reviewed previous period.  Worked in groups on pages 8, 9, and 9a.  Assigned the rest of the notes for chapter 8.  Went over section 8-1 with power point see  Chapter 8 Power point Read Only.ppt

11/24 - 11/30   Did pages 11 and 12 in packet.  Also did a penny lab.

12/1 - 12/2   Assigned pages 13, 14 and 15 in packet.  Handed out Dihybrid worksheet which will be due in 3 class periods. See dihybridcrosscd.doc if you need an extra copy.

12/3 - 12/4   Finished going over the notes for chapter 11. See biology chpt 11 READ pdf.pdf    Worked on dihybrid cross which will be due in two class periods.  Test will be 12/11 - 12/14.  Packet will also be due then.  Assigned notes in packet 12-1 and 12-2.

12/7 - 12/8   Watched video see   http://videos.howstuffworks.com/hsw/19547-the-science-of-life-dna-video.htm    .  Went over sections 12-1 and 12-2.  Assigned sections 12-3 and 12-4 as homework and begin studying for the test.

12/17 - 12/18   Collected packets and took test

12/21 - 12/22   Correct Dihybrid cross worksheet and test.

1/4 - 1/5   Corrected packet and worked on notes for chapters 13 and 14.  Compensation exam will be this week before or after school Wednesday 1/6 and Thursday 1/7.  This exam is given to those who need to make up zeros.  To prepare study the multiple choice questions at the end of chapters 7,8,9,10,11,& 12.

1/6 - 1/7   Went over notes for chapter 13 see  Chapter_13_Power_Point Read Only 1.ppt .  We also started our DNA finger prints.  Passes were collected.

1/8 - 1/12   Worked on creating DNA finger print and notes for chapters 13 & 14.

1/15 - 1/16   Assigned graph for DNA finger print which will be due next time.  Read article on Huntington's disease.

2/2 - 2/3   Went over notes chapter 15.  No homework.

2/24 - 2/25   Took unit test and collected packets.

2/26 - 3/1   Corrected test and packet.  Unit 6 packet was passed out and pages 1 & 2 were assigned.

3/2 - 3/3   Assigned students to research three disease causing microorganisms and what microorganism causes it.  They will need this for next time.  Went over notes for chapter 18.  See Chapter 18 notes Read only.ppt  and  Chapter 18 Review.ppt .  Assigned pages 5, 6, & 7 in packet.

3/4 - 3/8   Disease brochure assigned and will be due 3/15 - 3/16.  See the following Unit 6 Research Project.READ ONLY.pdf and Brochure Rubric.  Assigned page 2 and the notes for chapters 20 and 21.

3/11 - 3/12   Finished all notes.  Started test which is open book, open noted but not open neighbor.  Test and packet will be due next time.

3/15 - 3/16   Corrected tests and packets.  Collected brochures.  I will be gone until Tuesday March 23rd so this page will not be updated.
