Announcements

 January

* Homework is coming home weekly. It will come home on Monday and is not due until the next monday. Please remember to finish all work sent home.
**PLEASE remember to read with your student nightly for 20-30 minutes. It is part of their homework.
**Please help your student remember their homework folders daily. This is a good habit to get into for the upper grades.

***Jan 8th will be benchmark reading tests in first grade. It is always helpful if your student gets a good amount of sleep and eats well during this time.

*Those students who have birthdays during the month of July will be celebrating their birthday this month. Please check the calendar for the student’s name and date for celebrating.

*Wanted: classroom supplies.
        Paper towels        Wipies        Morning snacks
-We are in desperate need of these items. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
* I am also looking for donations of old puzzles (500-1000 piece puzzles) that may be missing pieces or are no longer in use. If you have some that fit these criteria, we would love them donated to our classroom.

*We will be doing an art activity on Friday with pine cones. Please donate some pine cones by Friday. :-)

*For 100’s day we will be doing some activities in the classroom and at home. Please keep an eye out for these assignments so they can be returned in a timely fashion.

I am excited for the year 2010!
