**Book Orders  due on  Dec. 4th. Book orders are a good way to get wonderful inexpensive birthday or Christmas gifts. If this is the case let me know and I will arrange for the student not to see any of the gifts.

*The volunteers are doing a wonderful job supporting our students in learning. Thank you for all your help. We really appreciate all that you do.

* To encourage reading words with automaticity, I have handed out a word list for the students to learn and be able to read with ease. There are 5 word lists that we will be working on one at a time. When your child has learned all the words without any hesitation, please sign the strip of paper and send it back to school for them to check it off with me and receive the next list.

* WE WILL BE CELEBRATING ALL JUNE BIRTHDAYS IN DECEMBER. PLEASE CHECK THE CALENDAR FOR SPECIFIC DAYS.

**Please be aware of what your student is bringing to school so they are not bringing objects that might be distractions.

* Homework is coming home weekly. It will come home on Monday and is not due until the next monday. Please remember to finish all work sent home.
**PLEASE remember to read with your student nightly. It is also their homework.

*First Grade Christmas sing will be Dec. 17th. We will have two performances. They will be at 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the school gym. The first showing will be during school time. Please dress your student in nice white tops and black bottoms.
