October
* Thank you for such a great first month. The parent support has been wonderful. There have been some questions asked over the last month that I would like to answer at this time.
    1. The homework folder needs to go home and back to school each day. Inside there needs to be your students homework for the week. I check these each day.
    2. Homework will come home every Monday inside the homework folder. The homework needs to be finished and returned any time by the next monday. It is due by the monday after it is sent home.
    3. Your students must read nightly for at least 20 minutes. This can be them reading or you reading to them. Both count as long as the student is looking at the text too. This also helps support our school reading incentive program.
Thank you again. If you have any questions please feel free to write a note and send it back to school in the homework folder. You can also contact me by calling me at school and leaving a message or e-mailing me.

**Book Orders are due on October 7th. Please return the book orders by then. (It’s not too early to think about Christmas or Birthday gifts.)

*Home Reading Library books will be coming home this week. I plan to have these exchanged daily. So please try to read through the book a couple of times and return it the next day to get a new one.

*Pumpkin Days are very similar to Apple Days in that we learn about pumpkins and celebrate the season of Fall and Halloween. A note will be coming home later in the month with more information.

*Parent Teacher Conferences are October 7th and 8th. Please plan on coming and meeting with me.

*Thank you for all the donations towards the class t-shirts. We are almost half way to the total cost. If you could please get your donations in as soon as possible. We are all ready to order our shirts.

*Your students are wonderful. I truly enjoy working with each one!!!
