Quarterly Book Report:  Students must complete some type of book report.  it can be a book report from any class.  If they do not have a class that is requiring a book report, then they are to do one for this class. 

Literature Studies Book Report:

Students are to read a book of their choice.  As they are reading they complete 10 journal entries.  These journal entries are chosen from a handout that they have received.  The handout lists several options to choose from.  The students have received instruction and another handout with examples of each type of entry.  The purpose of this assignment is to have the students use comprehension strategies as they read.  This book journal is assigned each quarter and is due at the end of each quarter.  In order to receive credit for this class, this assignment must be completed.  If it is not completed, the student will receive an incomplete.  The incomplete will be changed to a grade when the book journal is completed and turned in.  For document with instructions, see "My Documents."
