Classroom Expectations:
Respect and Responsibility: I expect everyone to treat each other as you would want to be treated. It is important to maintain a Christian environment so that we can all learn together.
Attendance and absent work: Attendance is important to be able to get the most out of this class. According to JM policy, after six unexcused absences, a student will not receive a grade for that quarter. When students return to school after an excused absence, it is their responsibility to find out what has been missed and to get the assignment(s). Students will be allowed two make up days for each day absent. All work the students were to have handed in when they were absent is due upon their return. If a student misses any tests/ quizzes while absent, it is their responsibility to set up a time to make it up. If a make- up is not taken within five days of returning to school, a zero will be recorded.
Tardy policy: More than 3 tardies to class within a quarter will result in a reduction to the participation portion of your grade and detention. A Super Tardy counts as 2 tardies.
Late work: Late work will be accepted for 10% off per day for 10 days.
Cheating: Cheating is dishonest and unacceptable. Any student who cheats on an assignment or test will earn a 0%. In addition, the dean’s office may take disciplinary action.
Personal Technology: Cell phones, ipods, and other technology are not permitted in class and will be confiscated if seen. If you are using any unnecessary technology in class it will be confiscated.
