Read some every day. Have reading material in many places where you have a moment to read. Carry reading material with you. Some photo copy a few pages and carry it in a pocket or purse for quick use.
Read to someone often. Parents read to children, children read to parents, adults read to one another to share intresting paragraphes. Talk about what you read. Read about what you talk about.
Foster a rich intellectual atmosphere. Limit tv to worthvile programs and then talk about them. Read about what is watched.
Put the computer in a public place. It is handy to use to look up information, phone numbers, movies, song lyrics. Talk about what in found on the Internet and learn to evaluate web sites.
