Learn to Write with UTAH WRITE

We are starting persuasive writing using an on-line artificial intelligence program called UtahWrite.  With this program, the students get instant feedback on their writing, suggestions for improvement, and many opportunities for revision.  To access this from home:

  • Go to www.utahwrite.com
  • In most cases, the student log in is the student's first and last name as it appears on the official school roll.  This is typed in lower case letters with NO space between names.  The password is the student's ID number.    (Your student will know if his/her log in is different.)
  • On the "welcome page," click on the "practice" tab and select the assigned topic.
  • If you are unable to finish in one sitting, click on the "Save and Quit" button.  If you finish, click on the "submit" button.
  • Print a copy of your essay and scores and bring both to class with you.
  • You may be assigned to complete the lessons.  Do it!
