Technology Reading Reflection

Read the articles: Future of Technology, Why Technology, Tools for Change and the NETS.

View the videos: 5 Year Olds Drive the Curriculum, Simulation Nation, Leading With laptops and Why Integrate Technology into the Curriculum.

Write a 3-4 page paper using APA format (NO abstract is needed). Take time to review the APA style of writing (under MyBookmarks APA Style of Writing).

Write Up:

Explain where you are situated regarding the Technology Questionnaire and the NETS.
Reflect on the reading and videos. Tell me what you think and why. Use the information you learned from the articles, videos,  and online reading to support your explanation.
Finally discuss the following questions:

1. In your opinion how can technology be used to enhance student learning?
2. What obstacles are there for teachers who want to use technology in their classroom practices?
3. Given the proper training and resources such as those provided in Alabama, what do you think could be accomplished in your classroom?
4. With what you know and experience in education how do you think Utah will fare out in the push for changing classroom practices and teacher pedagogy?
5. Pull out your crystal ball and imagine yourself in the classroom 10 years from now what new technologies are you using with your students and how?

 

APA style of writing is a must, double space, use titles and/or subtitles, 12 point font, 3-4 pages in length, reference page (if you quote or paraphrase), cover page, page numbers, appropriate use of grammar, punctuation and, spelling.
