The Concert Band performed at Weber State University on January 27 and received rave reviews from Dr. Akombo and members of the audience. Thanks to all the parents for getting your children there for the concert.   

The Concert Orchestra will be performing their concerto program February 24 at 7:00. The location is somewhat tentative because of staging for the musical. I will keep you informed as things develop.

The All-for-All is set for February 11. The Jazz Band will be working hard to get ready for that.

Mid-term is fast approaching so make sure the practice records are being filled out and outside activities completed.

The district music festival is scheduled as follows:

• Jazz Band, March 30 at Brockbank Jr. High (Tuesday)
• Orchestra Festival, April 8 at Hunter Jr. High (Thursday)
• Concert Band Festival, April 15 at Wasatch Jr. High (Thursday)

All festivals begin at 9:00 a.m. A permission slip will be coming home for a parent's signature.

I am still working with the PTA to get funding for at least two more Chamber Series Concerts. If they are held, they will be in March and April in the third and fourth quarters.
