| Extra Credit Opportunity 10 pts. Write one persuasive paragraph to Miss Yeager explaining why she should give you a specific seat in the room. Make sure to have a strong topic sentence that explains your opinion and states where you feel you should sit. Then follow up with facts and explanation. Close your paragraph by restating your opinion. Full points will only be awarded for paragraphs that follow instructions, communicate in complete sentences, and show appropriate mastery of punctuation, spelling, and basic grammar rules. This is my 10th year teaching English. I have a degree in English with an emphasis in Secondary Education, as well as both my Reading and ESL endorsements.
I believe that English is important because you will need the skills of reading, writing, and communication every day for the rest of your life!
This year I will be teaching 9th Intensive English & 9th English. I will also be working 1/2 day mentoring new teachers.
