March, April, and May:

Two main objectives:  Cartooning...characters, storyboarding, gesture, and shading skills. 

                                 Typography....learning font style, points, letting, kerning, upper, lower, san serrif, serrif, ascender, descender...

                                 Perspective drawing....1 point and 2 point.  Horizon line, eye level, vanishing point, converging lines on horizontal     

                                 lines.

 

Cartooning tasks:  Drawing characters. 

                           a.  face proportions, emotions, character

                           b.  gesture drawing, making adaptations, exagerations

                           c.  Create a good guy and a bad guy

                           d.  create a story board for the characters (thumbnail)

                           e.  Create a cartoon of five frames. 

Typography:  Creating Letter Art

                           a.  Define yourself in an alphabet letter (mixing a character with the first letter of your name).

                           b.  composing a design with only text. 

Perspective:  one point perspective using lettering

                   Two point perspective using lettering

 

Perspective:  Airbrushing a surealistic world in 3 D
