Parent Notes

Februray 8, 2010

Parents,

Road To Success reading folders are due every Monday.  Please be sure to sign your student's Road to Success.

Upcoming dates:

1. Science Fair projects (if participating): Tuesday, February 9th

2. Middle Ages project: Tuesday, February 23rd.   The banquet is March 3rd.   Please look over the Middle Ages crtieria with your student.  Projects must be completed on time be top-quality, and meet all criteria for students to attend the banquet.

4. May 2010: University of Learning project.  I met with some students last week about their University of Learning.  I was surprised to find that many students had not worked much on the University of Learning.  Students should be working approximately 30 minutes per week on the U of L.  That should mean students should have completed about 8-9 hours on their research at this point.  Those hours do not include the books read, service project, scrapbook project, or the final product.  Please help your students to stay on track with this project.

This week there will be students will have: spelling words, weekly homework, weekly folder, and WWTW

Please check and discuss your student's planner daily.  It is such a helpful tool for student, parent, and teacher.

S. Fuller
