First Grade November Newsletter

Wow!  We made it through Halloween!!  A great big thank you to Mrs. Harrison for organizing our party and to all those parents who donated money, time and supplies to make it happen!

Please check the I Can list for all of the new units we will be learning this month.

Please continue to read with your child each day.  Remember to sign their homework folder so they can get credit for their reading.

Try a "theta scan" once in a while!  Right before your child goes to bed, have him or her look over spelling words, math facts or phonograms for a few minutes.  Studies have shown that this type of quick review helps the brain to transfer information into the long term memory during sleep.
I encourage you to give it a try!!

As always, feel free to contact me if you have questions, concerns or comments.

Your children are amazing.  Thank you for sharing them with me each day.
