Students will learn about Thanksgiving and play Thanksgiving activities online.
THANKSGIVING ACTIVITIES
1. SCHOLASTIC FIRST THANKSGIVING - Students can learn about the first Thanksgiving and the Mayflower ship.
2. THANKSGIVING QUIZZ - Students can test their knowledge concerning Thanksgiving.
3. FUN BLASTER ARCADE - COLORING - Students will color Thanksgiving pictures.
4. TURKEY FLIBRICKS - Students match other tiles to get points and to win the game.
5. COUNTDOWN - Students click on groups of blocks with the same color to delete them from the board.
6. TURKEY HUNT - Students click on the picture of the turkey when it appears on the screen.
7. THANKSGIVING TURKEY DANCE - Students click on the pattern to duplicate what was shown by the computer.
8. THANKSGIVING PUZZLE - Students find the words in the puzzle.
9. ARRANGE THE BROKEN TURKEY - Students drag the pieces of the turkey back together again.

A. Seed Ball - (http://www.uen.org/tumbletown/) - You must click on the words, "Seed Ball", to get to the game. This is a fun problem solving game in which the student solves puzzles on how to get a seed to go through different pipes to a car below.

B. Math Man Easy Students will work with addition facts in a Pac Man setting.
C. Fruit Shoot Students will work with addition facts in a shooting setting.
D. Pearl Search Students will work with Subtraction facts while getting the pearl from the correct clam.
E. Pin Ball Subtaction Students will work with Subtraction facts while playing Pin Ball.

F. Matching Students will match the equation to the answer in addition or subtraction problems.

G. Doodle Dots 2 The students counting by two's and fives', and also they will do alphabetizing with words.

Students will review the basic parts of the computer and then will work with SEED BALL.   


Announcements/Parent Information

     I would encourage you as a family to checkout the Lindon & Valley View Online UTIPS Tests  in order to help your child check to see their understand of the state core objectives necessary to pass this grade level.  They simple click on the grade level link to see tests available.  Next they click on the test they desire to take and do detail login.  They must click in one of the radial buttons on each questions so the test doesn't give them a zero grade.  When the test is finished they need to click on the SUBMIT Button and then click the OKAY button to send their choices to be graded.   You can see their grade and then click on VIEW FULL REPORT to see their choices that were right (a green check) and wrong choices are mark in red x.  The correct answers are not given in the test so that they can review and retake the test later again.

     Another valuable resource for your student is our Math Facts OnlineTests.  Once you are on the math facts page then click on the test you desire to take.  Students will need to type in their first and last name.  Next they click the Start Test button to begin the test.(If you are concerned about your child's name being on the internet, just use a nickname or press some letters will be okay.  Students will again click on one radial button on each problem and then press the continue button.  At the end of the test you will see the score they recieved and the problems they missed.  You can type in a email address to someone you want the results to be sent too!

     You will find some valuable, safe student weblinks for your child to visit by clicking on this weblink.  Bristow Links and UEN K-2 links are very good learning activities for students to do.
