A
little about me . . .
I grew up in Alpine, UT and attended SUU where I received my Bachelor's and Master's degree in elementary education. This will be my 14th year of teaching (wow - where did the time go??). I started my carreer in Cedar City teaching first grade, where I stayed for 8 years. I finally graduated to 2nd grade when we moved to Spanish Fork, where I have been teaching at Brockbank for 6 years. I have also had the opportunity to work with SUU and BYU to teach ESL (English as a Second Language) endorsement classes to teachers all over the state of Utah, working towards earning their Master's degree and ESL endorsement. . .(no, I am not fluent in Spanish
- I wish).
I am married to Dustin Peterson who grew up in Payson and we have one son, Kyson, who will be in third grade this year. We are also hoping to adopt more children sometime soon. As a family we enjoy hiking, camping, mountain biking, skiing, going to movies, the park and laughing! We never try to take ourselves too seriously. I love to read, go shopping, spend time with friends, and any excuse for a party. Kyson loves sports, baseball, basketball, flag football (new this year), soccer, biking, and he is an awesome chess player and even plays the piano! Dustin is all about the mountains, mountain biking, snowboarding etc. He is currently working toward getting his teaching degree from UVU.
