January 4th

Mrs. Winter taught us principles based on "The Eye of the Artist." We learned to slow down our eyes as we allow our hands to catch up with us. Next week we will be finishing up our December art projects--The Fruit Bowl--

January 14th

Mr. Cepull's first visit! He reiterated the importance of drawing with our EYES and then showed the students how to draw a rabbit. GREAT WORK!

January 21st

Mr. Cepull showed us some of the work that will be featured at his upcoming gallery (which we are ALL invited to). We then learned how to draw a hawk and a galago!

January 26th

We are finishing up our fruit bowls ASAP! Some students have turned in their final projects and they look wonderful!

January 28th

Mr. Cepull showed us how to draw an elephant this week! Everyone did an awesome job!  We then had the chance to draw a tortoise.

February 1st

Mrs. Winter taught us how to draw a lizard today!  We will be working with water colors this month with her!

This month I will be working with the class on reading notes from both the Treble and the Bass Clefs as well as how to count rhythms based on time signatures.  Te ability to count rhythms lesson will truly help us when we start to learn about fractions!
