Course: Welding Technician, Advanced

Instructor: Cash Williams

 

1.       The students will practice safety in and around the welding shop and understand the importance of practicing safe actions in all they do.

2.      The students will perform safety inspections of equipment and accessories and determine if machines should be used.

3.      Students will understand basic first aid and know what to do in case of an emergency.

4.      The students will be required to perform daily cleanup procedures and understand the importance of keeping the shop cleaned up.

5.      Students will use the Flux cored arc welding process and be able to weld in many positions.

6.      Students will be able to use the gas tungsten arc welding process.

7.      Students will use the air carbon arc cutting process to cut metal.

8.      Students will use the plasma cutter to cut shapes and lines out of metal.

9.      Students will gain a knowledge of what is expected from a welder in the workforce.
