The Riverview Jr. High highly recommended book for Fall, 2009, is:

Skeleton Creek by Patrick Carman

This mystery read will captivate you from beginning to end.  As you begin to read Ryan's journal you find out that something has happened to him and he is confined to his bedroom.  As Ryan writes in his journal the mystery unravels.  What makes this book scary are the videos you watch.  Sarah his friend emails him the news of what is happening on the outside as she tries to solve the mystery.  The emails she sends are scary so don't watch them before you go to bed.  I loved this book.  I hope we will see many more books like this in the future that combine technology with reading.  For those of you who don't have a computer to watch the videos, come to the library and use ours.  DON'T SPOIL THE ENDING BY GIVE AWAY THE PASSWORDS OR SHOW OTHERS THE VIDEOS UNTIL THEY READ THE BOOK.
