I really enjoyed making an interactive PowerPoint. When I was looking through the 50 PowerPoint Activity Book, I noticed that there were a lot of really fun activities that I could do with students that related to writing, especially poetry. So I got on the 5^th grade core for language arts and in the 8^th objective it talked about publishing 8 pieces of writing and coming up with simple PowerPoint presentations. This was how I got my idea of creating a writing portfolio in PowerPoint.

            I chose the subject of writing because it is something that could be used for any grade because I don’t quite know what grade I want to teach. I would use the show throughout the whole year to introduce different units and to show what is required of the students in each individual projects. What worked really well was that I really enjoyed doing the subject and creating the examples. It was so fun to play with all of the custom animations and fonts. I really learned a lot because I really stretched and tried to do new things. What didn’t work really well was that I got really frustrated with my hyperlinks. I wanted to create a Jeopardy game that went along with the different types of poetry and writing. When I was doing to hyperlinks I tried to copy and paste buttons, but then the hyperlinks would get screwed up. I eventually got the hang of how I was supposed to do it and it got a lot easier.
