Student Notes 12/05/09 Dear students, This year is flying by...it is already December. 5th graders - you did an incredible job manning the Christmas store. I especially appreciate how you worked kindly with the younger students who came to shop at the store. You are great examples of consideration and kindness. 6th graders - Sgt. Wakamatsu was impressed by your N.O.V.A. Constitutions. Thank you for putting serious thought on how you would like your life to be. There are 3 of you who I have not given wooden nickels to for looking at this last month. I know who you are. Please come and remind me. If you are seeing this by Tuesday, Dec. 8, please show me a thumbs up. Because this is an exciting holiday season, I will give you 2 wooden nickels for looking at this website! Merry Christmas! 11/04/09 Dear Students, CONGRATULATIONS on getting the marbles filled! Tomorrow is Thursday. I hope we will be able to accomplish many tasks so that we might have our class reward of a read-a-thon on Friday. I am so glad that most of you have been able to stay well. Our class works better when we can all be together. We have been very busy with many projects, especially with writing. I hope our new system of assignments on the backboard helps to give you a clearer idea of all that we need to do. SYNERGY - Do you remember what this is? If you don't, ask Jared. He has a good definition of it. The trimester is almost over. That means almost one-third of the school year has gone by very quickly. There's so much more to learn! If you read this give me a silent thumbs up for a wooden nickel. 9/30/09 Dear Students, Today was another great day for me. Thank you for sharing your ideas of what makes a great teacher. Please remember to dress warmly for the cooler weather. Try to stay healthy. Since October is tomorrow, and Halloween is just a month away, here is a note about Halloween costumes. Remember that you may not bring any weapon, or weapon-like type of accessories. Face masks may only be worn in the parade, although we would much rather see your face. I will keep you updated on more guidelines as the weeks go by. You are a great group!
9/23/09 Hi Students, Today only one student mentioned to me today that she had seen the website. Anymore students see it tonight? Let me know tomorrow if you and your family have taken a look at this website. 9/22/09 Dear Super Students, You are working hard to accomplish many tasks and I appreciate all of your efforts! We even achieve things without knowing it - like bringing in the most raffle tickets for our Mom's birthday basket. Hooray! That was incredible to hear. We had fun today, "looking at the moon." I hope we will be able to have more fun experiences that help us to learn. Remember - "Today is a great day to LEARN something NEW." If you read this, come and whisper that you read the website. It may mean something for the first 5 that come to me! | Parent Notes 12/07/09 Dear parents, During this holiday season of thanksgiving and sharing, I would like to express my appreciation for all of your support to me as your child's teacher. Thank you for your donations to our classroom and class activities. Thank you for your time in helping your children be prepared for each day, and your time in helping with our class. Thank you for working with me toward your child's progress in school. Thank you for all that I am able to experience with your child. This continues to be an amazing year with my students. I love having the opportunity be with every single one of them each day. THANK YOU!!!
