Here are some of the things we are doing in class:

Science:   Now we are learning all about volcanoes!  This includes how volcanoes are created, different types of volcanoes, and the parts of volcanoes.

History: Mr. Wendling has been teaching the children all about the revolutionary war.  They have learned about events leading up to the war such as the Boston Tea Party, the Boston Massacre, and most recently studied Paul Revere's ride.  They will now be moving on to the events of the war.

Art: Now that we have finished the elements of art, we are going to start studying artists, their role in history, and creating works of art in their styles.

Grammar: This week we are reviewing helping verbs and learning about object pronouns.

Spelling: Spelling words for this week are pretty, please, pick, pear, share, Shoshone, voice, built, money, lived, run, brought, strong, living, close, and toward.

Writing: Students should be typing their stories at home to turn them in by the 14th.

Latin and Music: These two subjects are taught by our wonderful specialists, Miss Starr (music) and Miss Daniels (Latin).

Reading and Math: The students attend leveled break-out groups for these subjects.  This allows the students to learn reading and math on the level they are at, in a small group setting.  The students also have the opportunity to move groups according to their personal needs.
