Tongue outThanksgiving Break November 25-27th!  Have a great Thanksgiving Break!  I am very thankful for all my students and the opportunity to teach them daily.

    Core Knowledge units this week:

Science: Nervous System:Our unit test for the Nervous System will be on Tuesday December 1st.  Study guides were sent home today, and are also in the my document section of this website.

Literature:  Tomorrow November 24th, we will watch Alice in Wonderland as a class.  Students may bring a pillow or blanket to school to use during this time.

Sayings & Phrases: A feather in your cap.  We learned about this saying and that it is a saying for recognizing when someone has done something good or deserving of phrase.  We then drew names and gave awards to the person we drew for a feather in your cap

6 Traits of Writing: We will continue learning about sensory words and using them in our sentences and paragraphs to make our sentences more "sensory".

Handwriting (Cursive): We have practiced Letters A-I and will begin on J, j, and K, k this week. Keep practicing at home.

    PE: Relay Races

Geography: Map skills continue through this month.

Spelling: Words are posted in the Spelling tab.  We tested for week 12 today, since I forgot to test them on Friday.

Jersey Gems!  The class has earned a day with Jersey!  My she-poo dog Jersey will visit the class tomorrow!  The students work to be quiet during transistion time and in the hallways to earn Jersey gems.  This is a great reward for the students to have Jersey visit our classroom. They all love Jersey!
