Parent Notes

Parents, please make sure your student is reading at home every week.  They each have a goal they're trying to reach...ask them what their goal is and make sure they're reaching or exceeding it.  Your support is really important!

PowerSchool Codes

You can check your grades anytime via PowerSchool online (click on the link in "My Bookmarks").  Below are some of the codes I use so you can decipher what your grade really is:

  • M = Missing (you haven't turned it in)
  • A = You were absent when the assignment was collected/given and you need to make it up
  • E = Excused (doesn't count for you or against you)
  • * = hasn't been recorded in the computer yet
  • X = Expired assignment 
  • in = turned in, but not yet scored
