For Core Knowledge Science during this month of May we are learning about habitats and conservation!
This is what we will be focusing on:

  • Living things live in environments to which they are particularly suited.

  • Habitats consist of both living and nonliving things
  • Specific habitats and what lives there: underground, deserts, polar, grasslands, forests, ocean, and freshwater habitats.
  • Food chains
  • Special classifications of animals (herbivores, carnivores, omnivores, endangered, and extinct animals)
  • Environments are constantly changing, and this can sometimes pose dangers to specific habitats, for example: effects of population and development; ranforest clearing, pollution, litter
