Some addition and subtraction math facts were sent home this week with a note to parents. (First grade is only responsible for knowing their addition and subtraction facts, not multiplication and division facts.) This was done because next year the lower grades will be switching math curriculum to Saxon Math.  This change is happening for many reasons, but the most important reason is because we know it will greatly benefit our students.  If you would like to check out a saxon math book over the summer to work with your child, you may check one out from the librarian, Ms. Beckstrand for a $40.00 deposit.  When the book is returned in good condition, you will get the deposit back.
