FIELD DAY is FRIDAY, MAY 22nd.  This is an EARLY-OUT DAY!!

Please remember to have your student bring a plastic bat to school.  You can get them at the Dollar Store.  Also, your child needs to make sure that they have his/her costume and artifacts for the Hero Museum on Thursday.

On the last day of school I will be handing out some things for your student like a summer math packet, so I hope that all will be there.  It is an early out day.

DATES TO REMEMBER:

  • Living Hero Museum-Thursday, May 21st 1-3 in Odyssey's Gym
  • Field Day- Friday, May 22nd all day at Odyssey Field.  This is a half day
  • Monday, May 25th-NO SCHOOL-Memorial Weekend
  • Dance Festival-Wed. May 27th 12-1 at Odyssey Field
  • 3rd grade Rome CET Thursday, May 29th 1-3 in gym.  Parents are invited to come see the plays and participate in our festivities.

Roman Plays-Your student was given a part in a play for our Roman Festival.  Please help him/her memorize his/her parts.  The narrators do not need to memorize, but they need to practice reading their parts aloud.  The Roman Festival is Thursday, May 28th from 1-3.  More details will be coming as the time draws closer.

Living Hero Update:  The date for the museum has changed to Thursday, May 21st from 1-3 in the gym due to Field Day on the 22nd.  Please make sure your student brings their COMPLETED hero information to school.  We are typing them in the computer lab this week.  Please make sure you are gathering artifacts, pictures and looking for a way to dress up as their hero.

LATE WORK POLICY-Students will have one week past the due date to turn in their late assignments without penalty.  After the one week, I will no longer accept the late assignment and a grade of zero will be put in the gradebook.  Please encourage your child to turn in their assignments on time.

DONATIONS NEEDED:  With all of the cut backs going on in education we are in need of some extra help for supplies.  Kleenex, cleaning wipes, paper towels, construction paper, pencils, glue sticks, glue bottles, sharpies, markers, white paper.

I will not be posting all homework assignments on the website, because some are last minute assignments and they will be written down on your students learning plan.  However, long term projects, tests, long term homework assignments will be posted in advance.  I am hoping to be able to dedicate an entire page to each of my classes, math, Language Arts, and Homeroom.  I am just learning how to truly navigate throught this UEN site.  It is not very user friendly, but I am working on it.
