READING AT HOME

HAS CHANGED!

Please be aware that I have made some changes to our reading at home program. Each student is still encouraged to read at home. Instead of tracking on their minutes and pages, students now asked to fill out a monthly book report. Your child should be reading one book a month at home, and then report on it.

Books should be at a sixth grade level or near your students' grade level. Cartoon books and picture books obviously are not acceptable for this assignment.

Please help your student remember to be reading and also doing their book report. In the Language Arts tab of this page, you can print the form at home if needed. Please find the monthly book report under the "my documents" tab.

Success is achieved in so many ways. Not every student excels in spelling or reading, but they have amazing talents in art or story telling. I want each student to find success and happiness in some form through positive interaction in the classroom and at school.
