Parent Notes

Parents:
Well, we have made it through half of the 2008-2009 year!  The kids have become comfortable  with our class procedures, and have successfully been in charge of keeping things running.  We have jobs each week that they get paid for with money used for the class auction.

We have a field trip coming up at the end of this month on Wednesday, 1/28.  We would love any chaperones for this trip.  It will be to the Ririe Woodbury Dance Company - always an exciting time!  Email me if you are interested.

The students are also writing to new ePals up off the west coast of Alaska! We have studied some native Alaskan cultures from that area, and have found people to write to us.  Exciting!

Class Rules

Ms. Lindberg's Class Rules

1.  Follow instructions the first time given.

2.  Be productive and try your hardest!

3.  Speak nicely to each other with no put-downs, swearing, or tattling.

4.  Raise your hand and wait to be called on before you talk in class. (No shout-outs!!!)

5.  Listen and do not talk while the teacher or another student is talking.

Consequences

1.  Warning.

2.  Write name in Behavior Book (fine of $20).

3.  Same as #2 and 5 minutes missed of recess.

4.  Same as #2 & #3, plus note home to parent; returned signed.

5.  Same as #2, #3, #4; sent to office; call to parent with possible meeting
