Autobiography PowerPoint

1.  Fill out storyboard/template (on paper) before starting PowerPoint.
2.  Create 7 slides and decide on a background for each.
3.  Add titles, text, and pictures on each slide. 
4.  Add Custom Animation if you have time.
5.  You can add sound from MS Clipart, PP, or with the microphone.

5th Grade PowerPoint
1.  Open the "5th Grade PowerPoint" document and read instructions.
2.  Open PowerPoint and create 7 slides.
3.  Choose a background for each slide, and add a title with Word Art.
4.  Answer questions on each slide with Text Box.
5.  Add pictures.
6.  Add custom animation.


Spreadsheets

Choose your Spreadsheet!
Choose one of these ideas to create a spreadsheet:

Poll - (Poll at least 20 people, with 5-7 choices)
1. Favorite food poll.
2. Favorite song poll.
3. Amount of hours you watch TV in a week.

Activity -
1. 50-yard dash! (Run 10 times, record your times)
2. Garbage basketball! (~ 10" away, 10 pieces of paper, throw 8 different rounds; record how many you make each time)
3. Soccer ball kick! (~ 20" away, kick the soccer ball into a small goal 5 times, 10 rounds; record how many you make each time)


Bake Sale Spreadsheet (easier)
1.  Open "Bake Sale Spreadsheet".
2.  Copy information as shown: titles and information.  Do NOT copy the instructions.
3.  Follow the instructions given to make a graph.

4. Open student example if you would like.

2. Open the document below - "Can You Follow Directions"
3. Draw picture (with a partner) exactly as told.  Do NOT print, but show teacher.

COOOOOL Story Starters!
1.  Open any of the "Harris Burdick" pictures in Documents.
2.  Chose one to write a story about in MS Word.
3.  Use MS Paint to draw a picture to go along with your story.
4.  Save drawing into your file, with a name.
5.  Insert - picture - from file - find picture - insert into your story.
6.  Make sure you have a title with your name.
7.  Also insert the "Harris Burdick" picture.

"I Am" Poem

Instructions:
1. Click on and open the "I Am" poem template down below. 
2. Replace the words in parentheses with your own words. 
3. Be very creative and thoughtful. 
4. Insert 2 pictures - one of yourself and one clip art.
5. Take a picture of yourself with the digital camera. 
6. After downloaded, go to "Insert" - "Picture" - "From File." 
7. Browse for picture in the "Lindberg" file, and select yours.
