Wow Time Flies! This is my last week before taking maternity leave. I have loved teaching and getting to know your children this year. They are such a great group of kids! For those who participated in my baby shower, THANK YOU so much. It meant so much to me to be able to have a baby shower with the kids! Thank you for all of your thoughtful gifts. I am very bad at goodbyes so I will just say see ya at field day where I will be there helping yellow house win again...

  The time that I knew would come has and this baby is getting ready make her arrival. My last day teaching will be on April 11th. When students return after spring break on April 21st Tana Buss will be their new teacher. Tana has been very active in the school and is a familiar face to most students. Tana started the lunch program here at Odyssey and she gives out lunches to the students a couple days a week. I have talked to my class about the change and hopefully it will be as seamless as possible. If your child is getting anxious about the change and you would like me to talk to them, please let me know. I have loved teaching this group of students- they are a great bunch! I will hopefully be back with the little one for field day (I need to coach yellow house to another victory!) so make sure your child is here that day!!! Home reading program has begun. When your child has read the books in his or her plastic bag initial their card and send the whole bag back to school. New books will be distributed on Mondays and Thursdays. If you do not wish to participate please sign the bottom portion of the white form in their bag and return it to the library. Any lost or damaged books will have a replacement cost of $10.

If you are looking to fill your volenteer hours I would love help with recess duty! Tue and Fri morning at 9:30-9:45 and Wed at 9:15-9:30 are available.  Let me know if you are interested or just show up.

Our class is having a hard time getting their homework finished on time.  Please help your child set aside time each night to get their work done. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! When homework is not finished it will be done during their recess time.

Our library day is Monday, please send any checked out books to school with your child on Monday so that they can return them and check out new books when we visit the library. Overdue books will now be fined, 10 cents per book per day.

 Make sure that your child has warm clothing for recess and P.E., if the weather is colder than 50 degrees I ask my class to wear a jacket or sweater or sweatshirt.

 Learning Plans should be checked and signed EVERY night. Students are held responsible for getting them signed.

We are always accepting classroom donations. Our class is especially in need of art supplies other than crayons and colored pencils. Clorox wipes and Lysol are other great donations-keep our room germ free!
